Gillian was an amazing attentive waitress. We were upstairs in the Duck portion of the restaurant. Buffalo chicken mac and cheese was the best ever, spicy but not overdone. The rodeo burger was amazing too for my wife A few drinks from the bar were great too Great place, will be back

In town for business and have had The Duck on my "must try" list for some time, so took advantage of the opportunity. Service was great and very friendly. Ordered the clam chowder, house salad, and duck. Another in our party ordered the Lobster Gnocchi. Chowder was very good with a hint of smokiness, maybe from bacon. House salad with house made blue cheese was excellent. Love house made dressings! The duck breast was cooked perfectly and highly recommend. The lobster gnocchi had good portion of lobster. Would definitely return.

A friend of mine and I took a Fall drive with The Duck as the destination. We shared the mussels, and I had a cup of clam chowder and my friend had a burger. The food was excellent. The clam chowder is some of the best I have ever had. The under-hint of bacon works really well. Not too overwhelming. We also had dessert. We tried the cheese cake and the carrot cake. Both were delicious and very shareable. We could have survived getting just one dessert to share but we don't regret it. Lol. So delicious. The atmosphere is quaint and they have a cool bar that has regular sized chairs at it. We didn't sit at the bar but it was interesting to see. I highly recommend trying The Duck!

Went today for the Mother's Day special, 4 course meal. Choice of soups, salads, 4 entrees, deserts, Mimosa(2 each) and coffee. We had prime rib and duck. Both were excellent, cooked perfectly. Our server Maggie was top notch, attentive and helpful. Overall an exceptional experience on a special day. We look forward to going back for a non-holiday experience.

Great tavern feel - excellent bar by the windows. The best potato gnocchi with brown butter sauce !!! Judy & John the bartenders are awesome! Excellent martinis & expansive wine list. Great date place - not fancy but rustically intimate & cozy. They also do lots of cool events if you sign up for their email. One of our favorite spots!!

Location & Atmosphere The Duck, located in Sturbridge, offers a charming and rustic dining experience with warm wood interiors, ambient lighting, and a cozy, structured layout that’s perfect for both casual afternoons and intimate dinners. We visited on a quiet Wednesday afternoon and enjoyed a relaxed atmosphere that allowed us to really take in the space and service. Food & Drinks We started our meal with cocktails—each with its own standout qualities. The Coconut Key Lime Martini was perfectly balanced: not overly sweet, with just the right hint of coconut and citrus. It was refreshing and smooth. The Juliet was much more tart, likely due to the blend of citrus and bitters, making it a bolder choice for those who enjoy a punchier cocktail. For starters, we ordered a variety of small plates that could easily double as entrees due to their generous portions: • Crab Cake: Exceptionally fresh with a light hand on the filler. The texture was delicate and moist without being overly dense—truly one of the better crab cakes we’ve had. • Mussels: Served in a flavorful tomato-based broth, the mussels were plump and well-prepared. A touch more bread for dipping would have elevated the dish even further, as the broth was too good to leave behind. • Poutine: A unique twist using waffle fries, cheese curds, and rich duck gravy. This dish was indulgent, flavorful, and well-executed—the duck gravy added a depth that truly elevated the classic Canadian comfort dish. Altogether, these three appetizers were more than enough to fill us up, and each brought something special to the table in terms of flavor, quality, and presentation. Service & Hospitality Service was smooth and unobtrusive. Our server was soft-spoken and efficient, with a kind demeanor and subtle charm that came through with conversation. They kept the pacing of our meal well-timed without making us feel rushed. Unique Selling Point The Duck offers a refined twist on comfort food, elevating familiar flavors with quality ingredients and creative execution. The use of duck in the poutine, the freshness of the seafood, and the attention to drink composition are all standout qualities. Combined with the rustic-chic ambiance, it’s a well-rounded experience.

This was my 4th visit to The Duck. Food - every meal I've had here always satisfies. Well prepared, well seasoned with beautiful presentations. Tonight I had fried calamari and a Loft Burger. The calamari was really good - tender, perfectly fried, well seasoned and perfectly fresh. My burger was cooked perfectly and the onion strings were delicious. Service - Highlight of the night was our server, Lauren. We've been to many places recently and was feeling like great service was a lost art. Lauren has restored my faith. She was friendly, knowledgeable, and efficient. Took our tables entire order without writing a thing down and nailed it perfectly! I can't say how much her service added to our experience! Thank you, Lauren!!! Atmosphere - kind of a barn/loft experience. Really cool!

Came here for a work lunch and really enjoyed the food. The Poutine is a great bang for your buck as it was a lot of food. I loved it had waffle fries which soaked up a lot of the gravy. It also came with a poached egg which was a nice addition. Kung Pow Cauliflower was also amazing. It had a really nice sear to it and kung pow sauce which wasn’t too spicy if that is an issue for you. Some Kung pow sauce I’ve had are overly sweet or taste like they’re from a jar, but I enjoyed this one. It was a fairly small serving though. I wasn’t sure how the mustard sauce for the Seared Salmon dish would be, but loved the dish as well. Wasn’t heavy and I liked the pilaf.
